By accessing makeupfestivals.com, submitting a registration, making a payment, voting, entering a contest, or participating in a Makeup and Beauty Festival activity, you agree to these Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the relevant service. You must have legal capacity to enter this agreement or act with the consent of a parent or legal guardian.
2. About The Makeup and Beauty Festival
The Makeup and Beauty Festival ("MBF", "we", "us", or "our") organises beauty, education, exhibition, networking, competition, and entertainment experiences in Nigeria. Specific programmes, dates, locations, eligibility rules, prizes, and benefits may be described on the website, registration form, ticket, or separate agreement.
3. Event Registration and Tickets
- You must provide complete and accurate registration information and keep your confirmation or ticket secure.
- Admission is subject to payment confirmation, venue capacity, event rules, age restrictions, safety requirements, and any stated eligibility criteria.
- Tickets and registrations may not be resold, duplicated, or used commercially without our written consent.
- Unless expressly stated otherwise, prices are in Nigerian naira and may include or be subject to disclosed processing charges or taxes.
- Refund eligibility is governed by our Refund Policy.
4. Contest Participation
Contestants must meet the eligibility and submission requirements published for the relevant competition. Entries must be truthful, lawful, original or properly authorised, and must not infringe another person's rights. We may verify entries, reject incomplete or ineligible applications, and disqualify conduct involving fraud, manipulation, harassment, impersonation, or material rule violations. 5. Voting System
- Votes are recorded only after successful payment and system confirmation.
- Displayed results may be provisional while payments, fraud signals, and rule compliance are reviewed.
- You must not use stolen payment details, automated tools, exploits, chargeback abuse, or other methods intended to manipulate voting.
- We may invalidate affected votes or disqualify participants where credible evidence of fraud or manipulation exists.
- Voting payments support participation in the voting system, do not guarantee any contestant's result, and are final except as stated in our Refund Policy or required by law.
6. Sponsorships
Sponsorship inventory, payment schedules, branding rights, deliverables, exclusivity, cancellation rights, and other benefits are governed by the signed sponsorship agreement or written confirmation for that engagement. If these terms conflict with a signed agreement, the signed agreement controls for the sponsorship.
7. Vendor and Exhibitor Registration
Applications are subject to approval, available space, payment, and any category or venue restrictions. Vendors and exhibitors are responsible for permits, licences, staffing, product safety, insurance where required, taxes, claims about their goods or services, and compliance with applicable consumer, health, safety, and venue rules. Booth allocation and benefits are governed by the applicable registration materials or signed agreement.
8. Intellectual Property and Event Media
Our names, logos, website design, graphics, photographs, videos, and festival materials are owned by or licensed to MBF and may not be copied, modified, distributed, or commercially used without permission. You retain ownership of content you submit, but grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, reproduce, display, adapt for formatting, and promote that content as reasonably necessary to administer and publicise the relevant event or programme. You confirm that you have the rights and consents needed to grant this licence.
Photography and recording may occur at MBF events. Where permitted by law, your attendance acknowledges that incidental images or recordings of you may be used for event documentation and promotion. Contact us before attending if you have a specific accessibility, safety, or privacy concern.
9. User Responsibilities and Prohibited Conduct
You must comply with applicable law, respect staff and participants, follow venue and safety instructions, safeguard account or transaction details, and avoid unlawful, abusive, deceptive, disruptive, infringing, or technically harmful activity. We may refuse access, remove content, suspend participation, or report suspected wrongdoing where reasonably necessary.
10. Event Changes and Cancellation
Programmes, speakers, contestants, venues, schedules, prizes, and event formats may change because of operational, safety, regulatory, weather, force-majeure, or other circumstances. We will use reasonable efforts to communicate material changes. Where we cancel an event, any available remedy will be determined under the Refund Policy, the applicable agreement, and Nigerian law.
11. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, the website and event information are provided on an "as available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, particular commercial results, contestant outcomes, or the goods and services of independent vendors, sponsors, speakers, or payment providers. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Otherwise, MBF will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss arising from use of the site or participation in an event. You remain responsible for your property, travel, accommodation, health needs, and personal decisions.
12. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. The parties will first attempt in good faith to resolve any dispute directly. Subject to any mandatory legal rights, unresolved disputes will be submitted to courts of competent jurisdiction in Nigeria.
